Having made a couple of movies for Netflix, including the Oscar-winning Marriage Story, Noah Baumbach has decided to formalise the partnership, signing on to write and direct several projects for the streaming service in the next few years. He'll kick off with an adaptation of Don DeLillo's White Noise.

Marriage's Adam Driver and Baumbach partner Greta Gerwig are in talks to star in the film, which will adapt the book's story of a professor and his wife who are afraid of death and must confront it head on when a toxic chemical is released in their town.

"When I started in the film industry I dreamed of having a home," says Baumbach in a statement. "It took me about 25 years but it was worth the wait." The director is on to produce the new film with another Marriage Story partner, David Heyman. It is looking to start shooting this summer once Driver complete works on Ridley Scott's Gucci.
